The washable metal air filters have a rugged aluminum frame that encloses the bonded several layers expanded aluminum foil mesh media. The corners are mitered and the frame is secured with pop rivets. The bonded aluminum media is slit and expanded to several different opening sizes. This kind of design allows contaminants to be trapped throughout the whole filter depth and not just at the filter surface. The media is retained within the frame by expanded aluminum foil. It is in aluminum material, and very easy to washable. The size and layers of it can be customized.
